PCX + uCall

IT expertise with a telecoms partner

Your business

A setup matched to how you work

Overview

PCX IT now offers business telecoms in partnership with uCall. Alongside the IT support you already know us for, we can help you choose a phone system that fits your team, your customers and the way you work.

A cloud phone system carries calls over your internet connection rather than a traditional telephone line. It can bring desk phones, computer calling and mobile apps together, making it easier for office-based and remote colleagues to stay reachable on their business numbers. We review the available options with uCall and explain the features, costs and changeover before you decide.

How we can help

How we deliver telecoms and phone systems

Cloud phone systems and VoIP

Advice on hosted business phones, desk handsets and calling apps, matched to your users and working locations.

Professional call handling

Explore greetings, automated attendants, call groups and out-of-hours routing so callers reach the right people. Features depend on the chosen package.

Voicemail and recording options

Discuss voicemail-to-email and call recording where available, including who can access recordings and your privacy and retention requirements.

Business numbers and number transfers

Review new local numbers or moving your existing numbers. Transfer eligibility and timing are checked before a changeover is agreed.

SIP trunks and existing systems

Already have a business phone system? We can review whether internet-based SIP lines are a suitable option before recommending replacement.

A joined-up IT and telecoms plan

PCX looks at your internet connection, routers and office network alongside the phone service, with specialist telecoms supplied through our uCall partnership.

Common questions

Questions we are asked about this

Can we keep our existing business number?

Often, but it needs checking. We review the number, current provider and transfer requirements before confirming whether it can move. Do not cancel your existing service before the transfer is agreed.

Can staff answer business calls away from the office?

Suitable cloud-phone packages offer computer or mobile apps as well as desk phones. We will confirm supported devices, licences and features for the option you choose.

What happens if the internet or power goes down?

Internet-based phones need connectivity and power. Backup connectivity, power protection and alternative call routing may help, but need planning. Tell us about alarms, lifts, payment terminals or other equipment using your current line too.

Who provides the telecoms service?

PCX IT offers telecoms in partnership with uCall. We help connect the phone service with your IT and network; your quote will explain the supplier arrangements, contract, features and support responsibilities.
